EXCELLENT Based on 3027 reviews Posted on cathy890Verified Great! From parking, checking in and out great service. Enjoyed Oliver’s for a cocktail and breakfast. Nice comfy rooms. Great locationPosted on Kirston BVerified Great location, just needs a couple of tweaks We stayed two nights in a classic room with a queen bed on a room only basis. The hotel is in an excellent location right next to the light rail station ( for the airport ) and the monorail station (for the space needle). On checking in we received a warm but not overly friendly welcome where we were handed literature and told that our room was ready as it was past the check-in time. The doorman had ignored our arrival as he was chatting to some people on the pavement and watched my husband struggle up the stairs with two suitcases and a rucksack The room was of an older style but very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a low bath with a shower over it which was perfectly fine. My only suggestion would be to have English breakfast tea other than black tea as an offering in the room. We used the bar a couple of times and again the staff were performing a service rather than a friendly welcome. The drinks were fine and the food although we did not partake, looked very nice and you could see this venue was well used and appreciated. For the price we paid in this central location we were very happy. I would rate 4.5 if available as an option. Would we stay again? Yes because of the location and the cleanliness of the rooms just needs a few tweaks to be outstanding in my opinion.Posted on Cynthia SVerified If you want helpful insight... It is a historic hotel and with that comes worn - so that was expected; not distastefully worn... just worn. However, what was not expected is as follows: 1. To book on the hotel's RSVP online... one gets a clearly crappy end of the hall room overlooking a roof. While this bait and switch is not isolated to only experienced at the Mayflower, this hotel is where I am drawing the line to call it what it is instead of taking 'hotel scraps' and saying nothing. RSVPing directly with the hotel should be rewarded - I save the hotel fees due to a travel sight and the hotel should acknowledge accordingly. 2. The toilet in my room, which I presume is the same 'model' in all rooms is very low to the floor. I am 5'4" and if I think it is uncomfortably low to the floor... tall guests are going to DESPISE the bathroom... which is the primary reason I am taking the time to write a review. On the positive side: The Valet Team was unusually on the ball, ultra courteous, and very helpful - repeatedly. The location of the hotel is ideal. Positioned just steps away from the Light Rail Westake station, just steps away from the Monorail station, an easy 5 block walk to the waterfront... and as is in all cities you must be safety alert... and the Valet Team will help you to understand where it is less safe. All in all I thought Seattle was a beautiful city, saw nothing other than what cities are comprised of... and I also saw alleys that were nothing other than exceptionally clean with none of what we hear causes Seattle so much grief. Would I stay at the Mayflower Park again? Maybe... Maybe not.Posted on RazzVerified Solid hotel In town for a few days before a cruise. Great place for travelers. Close to Pike's Market. Comfortable bed. Clean basic accommodations. The only negative situation was the array of colorful individuals serenading us from the alleyway. I do not fault the hotel or the management. The hotel has no control over what goes on near their hotel.Posted on Phillip WVerified A real gem!! An historic hotel with service that exemplifies hospitality!! Great location and comfortable rooms. Oliver's is a great place for food and drinks. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.Posted on Jeannette DVerified Charming hotel in downtown Seattle Great location within easy walking distance of many attractions including Pike place market and the waterfront.. the hotel is very attractive and has a lovely olde world feel to it. The gentleman on reception was super friendly and helpful and being able to check in early was really appreciated as we had had a long flight from the UK Our room was cosy and clean and a super comfy bed as well as a mini fridge and coffee maker with coffee and tea provided in the room. Oliver's bar was cozy too Great location for the two nights we spent in Seattle.Posted on BotanyAnnetteVerified Location is great for walking everywhere. Great old style hotel. Walking distance from everywhere including the monorail, the Needle. markets and the ferry. There is a train station with easy disabled access (lifts are good for those with luggage too) very close by. The train goes direct to the airport in about 30 minutes and costs next to nothing. The hotel has good restaurants and there are also many good places to eat close by. The staff are friendly and obliging. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.Posted on Robert GVerified Nice Hotel A nice hotel central to the tram stop making it a very easy transfer from the airport. A very welcoming hotel from concierge, reception to cleaning. The rooms are small but comfy and very clean.
